Our tryout for males is much different than it is for females. Males who are interested in becoming stunters will need to learn along side a seasoned veteran stunter. To be considered we require that you be at least 160lbs and be able to lift 50lbs of dead weight above your head without assistance. These guidelines are for the safety of both stunter and female flyer.
Provided you meet our requirements you will be learning how to toss to hands which is a stunt where you hold on to the flyer's waist and when she jumps you follow under her with a "power clean" motion. After the toss you will catch the flyers feet and hold her standing at shoulder level. Males who are proficient at the toss to hands can learn to extend the stunt from there.
If you have experience stunting we will accelerate your
tryout and see how well you can work with new material, transitions, rotating stunts, and cradles. Males do not need tumbling skills (standing back tuck) but will be required to learn one through the season.
If you are interested in learning the art of stunting we have year around tryouts for males. Contact us and you can connect with us at a practice.
